PILATES MAT

Pilates during pregnancy greatly enhances the experience of being pregnant and birthing. The dynamic yet subtle exercises led by our Pilates instructor strengthen the muscle groups needed for labor while allowing for the hips to be fluid and open for the baby’s arrival. Our group Pilates mat classes offer the benefit of a group experience and the chance to connect with other mothers.

PRENATAL FITNESS

Join Jennifer Walker (pre/postnatal Power Pilates® certified fitness expert and owner of mumda™) and get your body ready for your big day and bond with other moms-to-be in a safe, open atmosphere. This group class is designed to build your core and pelvic floor strength needed to have the most successful pregnancy and delivery possible. Each class will work to reduce the physical discomforts during pregnancy, improve overall fitness levels, and learn positioning and how to apply breath, focus, and control during active labor.

YOGA

The popularity of yoga in the West is well deserved – the benefits of yoga can be felt in the mind and spirit as well as the body. Our prenatal and postpartum yoga provides both mental and physical strength for labor and a community of mothers. Mommy and Me Yoga special events provide a space to bond with your new little one while getting back into your practice.

MOMILATES

This class offered through our partners at Bay & Bee is perfect for all caregivers, of any fitness level, to get in a workout while the little ones play along. Designed with the postpartum mom in mind, momilates focusses on the fundamentals and proper technique of Pilates mat, focusing on body connections, breathing, alignment and awareness. Learn how to identify your own weaknesses and imbalances and work with them to restore healthier movement. Come work out without the struggle of finding a sitter and promote wellbeing in yourself.

POSTNATAL EQUIPMENT GROUP

Healing the body after birth, specifically addressing the diastasis recti abdominal separation and strengthening the pelvic floor, is hugely important. It is not necessary to experience a loss of core strength and incontinence after having children! Postnatal workouts heal these weakened muscle groups and enhance physical fitness.

POSTNATAL RE:HAB

With a little help from our certified postnatal Pilates® and fitness expert Jennifer Walker you will learn exercises and how to strengthen your pelvic floor; which not only helps your tummy return back to normal but also helps you to recover bladder control after pregnancy. In this workshop, you will also learn how to promote good posture while lifting and carrying your new baby in order to keep your body tip top. Diastis Recti, Pelvic Floor Stabilization, Tone/Posture/Strengthen. Recommended for clients at minimum 4-weeks postpartum vaginal delivery and 6-weeks postpartum cesarean.
